Who We Are

Danny Houde

Generations Pastor
E-mail Danny Houde

Danny Houde is currently the Generations Pastor at New Life Church, where he has been pastoring since 1998. After graduating from Bible College, and leading a Young Adults Ministry in Canada, Danny and his wife started a drama team during the early years of their ministry at New Life. From that point he became the Youth Pastor of what is known today as Clay Youth Ministries. He ministers on a weekly basis at Clay and oversees all the youth, children’s and young adult ministries.

Danny was born in Manitoba, Canada and spent most of his school years in the city of Brandon. His family grew up as very strong Roman Catholics, at least until his immediate family got saved and Spirit-filled during the Charismatic Movement that swept through Canada. Throughout his adolescent years, Danny attended a local Pentecostal church with his family, but never pursued a personal relationship with the Lord. After years of running from God, and a life-altering close call with death, he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 21. He later graduated from New Life Bible College in Cleveland, TN. He married Laurie, and they immediately began working in the ministry. They moved to Billings in October of 1996, and have since become an integral part of New Life Church. They began a Teen Drama Team in 1997, which led to them becoming the Youth Pastors in 1998. Besides his role in the Youth and Children’s Department, Danny has also helped facilitate the New Life Church Minister’s-In-Training program, and helped birth both the Young Adults Ministry.

Danny is passionate about his love for the Lord, and his love for his family. God has also given him a real love for the local church, and the understanding of how much of a blessing and strength that it is to a believer. Danny loves doing life with like-minded followers of Christ and is passionate about raising a generation of world changers that live far above the standards of this world. His future goal is to continue to lead his family, and those God has entrusted to his care in the things of God. He desires to leave a lasting legacy of love, and understanding of the Word, that will impact generations to come.

Intertests:   hanging out with his wife and kids, coaching his children’s sports teams, working on his house, the occasional round of golf, and just sitting around talking & dreaming about the things of God.

Laurie Houde

Generations Pastor
E-mail Laurie Houde

Laurie Houde works alongside her husband, Danny, as one of the Generation Pastors at New Life Church. In 1999, after being asked by Pastor Hall to start a children’s ministry, Laurie birthed Super Church and started her 11 year journey as their Children’s Pastor. The children’s ministry continued to expand, and in 2011 she was able to hand it off to the directors that she had raised up. Laurie now preaches and teaches on a weekly basis both in Clay Youth Ministries, and at her life group entitled “Mom’s on a Mission.” In addition to her work at the church, Laurie is also a mother of 4 (Danika, Tessa, Jayda & Micah), and she travels and speaks as God opens the doors.

Laurie was born and raised in Miles City, MT. She received Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a very young age. While attending a Christian school, at the age of 5, she was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Her father, Al Watt, was the pastor of the local Word of Faith church in Miles City, so naturally she grew up serving in the church. After graduating high school, Laurie moved to Cleveland, TN where she attended New Life Bible College. While at Bible College, she fully committed her life to God’s service. Upon graduation, she was ordained as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ through Norvel Hayes’ Ministry. While at college, she met and fell in love with Danny Houde. They got married in 1995 and began their new life together.

Laurie is passionate about her love for God, her love for others, and she is passionate about raising her children to know & serve God with their whole hearts. She desires to see the power of the Holy Spirit working not only in her life, but also in the lives of those around her. When asked about her future hopes and dreams, she responded with, “I dream of ministering side by side with my husband, my children, and the other great men and women of God that are in my life as God opens the doors.”

Interests:  spending time with her family, having friends over, taking pictures, gardening, running, playing sports, exercising, and talking about God.
